The Best Guacamole for Cinco De Mayo

I love chips and guacamole. We make it about once a week around my house. I’ve tested different recipes and I want to share with you my favorite recipe for The Best Guacamole. Plus this will be great to have for a Cinco De Mayo Fiesta!!
I love avocados. They taste delicious and they are healthy for you. Here are some fun healthy facts about avocados from WebMD. Plus avocados are one of the “good” fats. This is a plus for the hair, makes it nice and shiny!
Back to the guacamole.
You will need: Avocados, salsa, garlic salt and a lime (Full recipe at end of post).
I use my mom’s homemade salsa, but any kind will do.
Smash the avocados with a fork and mix in the other ingredients. Serve with chips!
I love me some chips and guacamole, but then again I’m trying to be healthier. Here are some other foods to pair this guacamole with.
- carrots
- cucumbers
- sandwich spread
- multi grain crackers
- pretzel sticks
- with pitas
- use it as a salad dressing
The Best Guacamole
Ingredients
- avocado
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons salsa
- juice from 1/2 lime
Instructions
- Smash avocado
- Add garlic salt, salsa and lime juice
- Mix
- Serve with chips
Notes
Tip: You don't have to be exact with all the measurements. Use as much or little as you want to taste.

Wow! That looks so good. I am crazy for guacamole and could easily inhale a whole bowlful. My husband has a recipe that has a bunch of things like cilantro and diced red onion, but this looks easy enough for me. I am not the best cook. Can’t wait to try it!
