Chip Beauty and the Beast Necklace

I am pretty excited to see Beauty and the Beast on Friday! I was a little worried it with the leak from the director, but after reading other review, I’m hoping I’ll still like it. I wanted to wear something special to the premier so I created this Chip Inspired Beauty and the Beast Necklace. It is easy to make and is the perfect way to dress up without having to go all out.

To make the necklace all you need is:

  • Teacup charm
  • Plate charm
  • long gold chain (30 inches or so)
  • gold jump rings (if the charms do not include them)
  • pliers

I found all of my supplies at Michael’s.

How to make the Chip Inspired Beauty and the Beast Necklace:

  1. Open the jump ring on the plate using the pliers and fit it onto the necklace. Close the jump ring so the charm will not fall off of the necklace.
  2. Repeat the first step with the cup charm.
  3. Wear! If you want you can try to chip the cup, mine had a little bit of a defect in the area around the edge so that worked for me.

Make sure the cup is on top of the plate when you wear it for the cutest Chip inspired look.

I even thought about making matching earrings. One with a cup and one with the plate, but haven’t got that far yet, ha ha. Maybe I will by Friday!

The detail on the charms is so ornate and reminded me of the baroque time period that Beauty and the Beast is set in.

Are you excited about Beauty and the Beast? Will you be dressing up in any special way for the movie?

I always like to do a little something special to dress up, even if I’m not in full blown character mode. Like for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, I made a Newt Scamander Case Bag.

Oh and I’ve got a bunch more Beauty and the Beast inspired ideas right below this photo! Even if you aren’t excited about the new movie, re-watch the old one and enjoy this cute necklace idea!

  1. Hello Emily!

The teacups are so cute! I am a certified fan of Disney character. Ugh. Even my niece told me she wants one when she saw this. I hope I could find this on some malls since Micheal’s are too far from us. Thanks for sharing this!
