How to Make Candy Corn Pillows

How to make simple pillows that can be used for outdoor decor that mimic the classic fall candy, candy corn.

Materials

  • Two white canvas squares 12x12 or your choice
  • Painters tape
  • Yellow + orange acrylic craft paint
  • Foam brush
  • Sewing machine or fabric glue for no-sew
  • Needle + thread
  • Pillow stuffing
  • Fabric seal spray optional, for outdoor use

Instructions

  • Divide the canvas. Tape it into three sections. Bottom = yellow, middle = orange, top = white.
  • Paint. Start with yellow at the bottom, let dry, then add orange in the middle. Remove tape carefully.

  • Sew (or glue). Place your painted piece and the plain square together, inside out. Sew around edges, leaving an opening large enough to turn right side out..

  • Turn right side out. Use a dowel to push out corners.

  • Stuff. Fill with pillow stuffing until plump.

  • Close it up. Use a whip stitch or glue to seal the opening.

  • Protect. Spray with fabric sealant if you plan to keep them outdoors.
