Start by gathering 14 popsicles sticks. Line 12 of them up in a row.
Make sure they are all lined up straight by using an extra stick as a guide.
Using hot glue, glue the two extra sticks to the row of 12 with one on bottom and one on top.
Next cut a ten inch piece of baker's twine.
Tie a couple of knots in each end.
Hot glue the knots to the back of the mini pallet on each side.
Next, create a whitewash paint. This is optional, but I like that it gives the popsicle sticks a bit of a beach feel. Mix water with white paint. If you want it really light add more water. For a more white look, use more paint. I did a half and half ratio. I wanted the white to show up, but to allow the wood grain to show through the white wash.
Paint the sign with with the white wash paint.
Let it dry.
Add letter stickers to the sign to spell out "sunshine."
Paint a half sun above the word "sunshine." I used yellow paint and free handed it.
Draw a sun onto the mini pallet and then paint it in if that would be easier.
Paint a couple of coats of the yellow, allowing the paint to dry in between each coat.
After the sun is completely painted and dried. Free hand the word "hello" with permanent marker.
Use a pencil to write the word and then trace it if that would be easier
