Easy 4 Ingredient 4th of July Pie Recipe

Equipment

  • star cookie cutter
  • pie dish

Ingredients

  • 1 premade pie crust
  • can of blueberry pie filling
  • can of cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Unroll pie crust, and roll to flatten with a rolling pin.
  • Place in a pan and curl the edges.
  • Poke the bottom of the pie crust with a fork.
  • Brush with melted butter
  • Unroll second layer of pie crust. Cut out stars with a cookie cutter.
  • Cut strips of pie crust to make flag stripes.
  • Empty half of the blueberry pie filling in one half of the pie crust, pour cherry pie filling in the second half. Spread around to evenly distribute pie filling.
  • Brush stars and stripes with melted butter.
  • Layer stars on top of the blueberry filling and the stripes on the cherry filling.
  • Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 45-55 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling. Edges can be covered with foil to prevent browning too quickly.

Notes

Instead of butter you can use an egg wash.
