Try to apply pressure, I’m not sure if you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes the tape just isn’t super sticky. Maybe try a bit of Mod Podge to seal it.

I’m not sure. I know washi tape isn’t the most adhesive tape, maybe try adding some pressure as you apply it. I haven’t had a problem with it on the tealights, but I have on other things. Sorry I don’t have a better answer.

been searching around looking for an answer — how do you get the washi to stick to the tealight. i’ve made a few small batches, and the ends always unstick and they look a mess. i’ve tried different tealights – different tapes — what gives?
