Door MEmeo Board with Wallternatives at thebensonstreet.com

This post is brought to you by Wallternatives. All opinions are 100% mine.

I may be graduated from college, but I still love the dorm room style. I like cute ways to bring fun into a room that are not permanent. I even own my house and still like things that can change easily. I am excited to share with you this cute idea I created with Wallternatives Dorm Decor line.

Wallternatives want to take boring walls and bring patterns and textures to brighten them up. They offer all these different products:

  • WallPrints™ Fabric Decals
  • ChalkTalk™ Chalkboard Art
  • Designer Vinyl Decals
  • WallAppeal™ Removable Wallpaper
  • EtchLook™ Decals to look like etched glass (COMING SOON)

Let’s get started creating the dorm door memo board.

Supplies:

Start by applying the decal. It is pretty easy, but you can find the complete instructions here at Wallternatives.

Follow the easy step by step instructions. My only disclaimer is that these decals do not work well on textured walls. They are perfect for smooth walls, doors and surfaces.

Stay calm, sometimes doing large vinyl pieces is hard, so grab a helper to pull back the transfer tape.

Make sure to use the squeegee to burnish all the edges or some of the decal will not stick to the wall.

Carefully and slowly peel back the transfer tape layer to reveal the lovely frame for the door memo board.
