On Wednesday I hope you saw how cute this Cupcake Party with DimplePrints is, today I want to share with you the easy party food I paired with the party. If you haven’t, go check it out the cupcake party here and make sure to enter to win your own printable party pack!
Food is normally one of the main elements of a party. So basically it is super important. Just because it is important doesn’t mean it has to be complicated. I love to stress myself out. If I let the stress take me over I can fall apart. So instead of letting the stress take me over, I find easy party food that wows.
The first thing I want to share are Mini Sandwiches. These are one of my favorite recipes that my mom crafted for showers and get togethers.
- thicker white bread (but not like texas toast style, just not wonder bread, it needs to be a little denser)
- a brick of cream cheese
- dried chives
- ham lunch meat
Mix chives into softened cream cheese. Use the chives to taste. Spread the cream cheese mixture on two slices of bread. put two slices of ham between the bread to make a regular sandwich. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Hearts are perfect for bridal showers, birds are great for a baby shower. Top with toothpicks with cheese and olives. They are so yummy.
The next easy party recipe I made for the cupcake party was Mother Goose Popcorn. I got this recipe from a neighbor.
Mother Goose Popcorn
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 bags of microwave popcorn
- food coloring
Pop popcorn and take out old maids. Mix sugar and water (and food coloring if you want color) in a pan and bring to a boil. Boil to softball stage (230 degrees). Pour over popcorn and stir until it turns to sugar on popcorn.
The last easy idea I want to share is fruit kabobs. They are so easy and interactive for party guests.
Set up a variety of fruit and sticks to put the kabobs together. I put a little washi tape flag on the ends of mine (check that out here).
What easy foods do you serve at your parties? I am always needed new stress-free party foods.
