Peppermint Bark Popcorn

Do you need a easy holiday treat for a party? Or a sweet-n-sassy neighbor gift? Look no further. This peppermint bark popcorn will knock your socks off. Plus it is so easy!

What you will need:

  • Candy Canes
  • 3 bags of microwave popcorn
  • 1 1/4 cup of white chocolate melting chips

First, grab a hammer, rolling pin or mallet. Put the candy canes in a bag and smash them up until they are teeny tiny pieces.

Second, Pop your popcorn as directed. After all three bags are popped. Separate the kernels that didn’t pop by putting the popcorn in a separate bowl. This way when you are enjoying your holiday treat you don’t bite down really hard on a not so friendly kernel.

Third, Melt your chips. I start by melting mine for a minute and then for 10 second intervals after to make sure it gets nice and smooth.

If it has little lumps it still needs more time in the microwave.

Fourth, Pour the melted which  chocolate over the popcorn and start mixing. While mixing add the crushed up candy canes. Make sure all the popcorn is coated. If not melt a little more chocolate (or if you just want it extra chocolaty add more too).

Fifth, When popcorn is evenly coated with chocolate and candy cane bits spread it out on wax paper to dry.

Last, wrap it up all cute or put it in your favorite Christmas bowl and enjoy with your family and friends.
