If you’ve followed along with me, you will know how much I love simple and quick projects. If not you better go check them out after you see these adorable and easy to make St. Patrick’s Day Tea Lights. I love tea lights. They are so cute and festive for in so many ways. Today I’ve dressed them up for one of my favorite holidays, St. Patricks Day! What is your favorite part of St. Patrick’s Day? I just love green so that is one of my favorite parts!

What you will need to make St. Patrick’s Day Tea Lights:

They are so simple to make! I used the 3/8″ ribbon on the regular wax tea lights and they fit perfectly.

For the battery operated tea lights, I used the Lucky Shamrocks that was a larger ribbon or just do the smaller ribbon around the base.

How to make St. Patrick’s Day Tea Lights:

  1. Measure ribbon around tea lights and cut just a little bit longer than all the way around.
  2. Use a lighter to burn the cut edges to avoid fraying.
  3. Put a small dot of hot glue onto the side of the tea light. Place ribbon on the dot flush with the tea light.
  4. Trail a light of glue around the tea light and continue to fix the ribbon to the tea light. I did this about three times for each light, until the ribbon is glued all the way around.
  5. Repeat on your remaining tea lights.

Aren’t they cute? They are the perfect centerpiece or table decoration for a festive St. Patty’s Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage.

Or they would be lovely on a mantel decked out in green.

Mix the lime and emerald greens on your tea lights for a magical combinations of greens even a leprechaun would love. Plus, the battery operated tea lights I found go through a rainbow of colors when they light up so they are even more festive.

Where would you love to display these little cuties in your home? I hope you stop by and visit me over at The Benson Street too!
