The Magnolia Story

Authors: Chip and Joanna Games

Extreme Book Nerd Challenge Category: A book written in first person

If you love Fixer Upper (and even if you don’t) this is a great read. Especially for busy mothers and women. I love to see that hard work can really help you achieve you goals and that Chip and Joanna weren’t always well off. In The Magnolia Story, Chip and Joanna share how their lives led them to where they are now. They emphasize the most important things in life and how they went after their dreams. It really did take a journey to get from where they started to where they are on HGTV and at the Silos now.

The authenticity of Chip and Joanna translates right into their book. Some of my favorite points from the book were that you can be happy during the journey and learning how to thrive rather than just survive. I feel like most days I’m just surviving and I need to work on getting to the point where I can THRIVE.

Do you love Fixer Upper? Have you read this book yet? If you did, what did you think?
