It is always a rough time of the day when it is snack time. It always seems like I’m hungry, my little one is hungry and if we don’t get something to eat it might just end bad. Sometimes it is easy to grab the not so healthiest of snacks. So instead of grabbing those things, I’ve decided to make a list of my favorite healthy and easy snacks so I can remember them in a pinch.

The Laughing Cow Cheese and Breadsticks. These new babies are so awesome. They are an on the go version of The Laughing Cow wedges but with breadsticks. We recently took them with us on a trip to the zoo as one of our last fun summer activities! We all loved them! Espeically Miss JJ who didn’t want to share. P.S. they come in two great flavors Creamy Swiss with Classic Breadsticks and Creamy Swiss with Tomato & Herb Breadsticks. Yum! Get your own coupon right here to try them.

Apples and peanut butter. Apples are a great snack especially when they are dipped in something yummy like peanut butter. Get some fruit and protein in this snack.

Dried Fruit is perfect for on the go snacks. It is always a good idea to plan ahead. Throw some dried cherries, mangos, bananas etc. in your purse or diaper bag to make sure you have a healthy snack wherever you go.

Cheese and Crackers are a simple yet easy snack. Try a variety of cheeses and a whole grain cracker.

Veggies and Dip. Whatever your dip jam is, go for it. Veggies go great with ranch, hummus, guacamole, and more.

Yogurt Bites. These are so easy to make and are a yummy treat. Just spoon whatever yogurt you like into a ziplock bag. Cut off a corner and squeeze small drops onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Freeze and enjoy.

Smoothies are a great way to get a dose of fruits and veggies. What are your favorite smoothie recipes?

Celery with peanut butter is a sneaky way to get some veggies in without it being so plain. Take it up a notch by lining the celery sticks with raisins on top of the peanut butter.

Trail Mixes are another great on the go option. If you don’t like a pre-made mix. Make your own. Mix your favorite dried fruits, nuts, cereals and even crackers.

Granola Bars are perfect for on the go but make sure you aren’t getting one that is just full of sugar. Read the labels.

Nuts come in so many varieties. Find your favorite nuts with your favorite flavors. I tried some dill almonds and they were yummy because I love pickles! They even come in sweet varieties like toasted coconut or blueberry.

Meat and cheese rolls. Take deli meat, cheese and even lettuce and roll it up. Protein and veggies with very little carbs.

What are your favorite simple snack solutions?
