DIY Magnetic Board
Hey there everyone!
My name is Colby and I blog over at Love Joy Glitter. I am super exited to be guest posting for Emily today!
I have always loved having paintings in my office, but with me adding new organization to my area, I decided to make it functional as well by making my own DIY Magnetic Wall Art and it looks awesome! The magnetic board still works even though a layer of paint is on it.
Let’s get started!
You will need:
A Magnetic Board
Paint
Stencil
This is my magnetic board – to make the design straight you will want to measure it first before painting.
Then put the stencil on the board and isn’t crooked – then paint it!
Paint until the whole board is filled with your design! It took me about 1/2 an hour to do the whole thing – not including drying time.
I added a purple dot in the middle of the flower to make it look more like a flower and less like an asterisk.
The frame was also a bit scratched up so I fixed that as well -I taped the edges of the frame and painted them purple to give it a little more personality!
Final reveal:
Doesn’t it look great!? I am so happy that it turned out the way it did – it fits perfectly into my workspace and is both functional and pretty! A win win for all 🙂
A big thanks to Emily for letting me guest post today! I hope you will all enjoy and love this project as much as I do!
XOXO, Colby
