Updated Snow Wreath plus Blog Hop

There are crazy snow storms and low low temperatures all over the last couple of weeks. So to celebrate (I guess if that is something you celebrate) I updated my Winter Wonderland Wreath and some my friends have created a bunch of snow inspired posts for you to enjoy while sipping hot cocoa. Go sit by the fire and let these fun snowy projects inspire you.

I took my winter wonderland wreath that I created last year and decided it needed some sprucing up.

When I was in middle school, I was obsessed with snowboarding and snowflakes. I loved them so much that I bought a bunch of glittery ones and hung them from my ceiling in my bedroom.

My mom saved them (probably as per my request because I’m pretty much a pack rat but not in a weird way) and gave them to me with a bunch of other random Christmas decor from my childhood. I stumbled upon them when I was decorating for Christmas this year and thought they would be a great way to spruce up my winter wreath.

I grabbed my wreath, glittery snowflakes and some white glittery pinecones that I found at Michael’s.

To make the wreath go here. Then come back here for the touch ups.

I added four snowflakes and two pinecones.

I used hot glue to attach the snowflakes and pinecones. Be careful not to burn your fingers when sticking the snowflakes on.

The placement of the snowflakes and pinecones could go anywhere.

I did mine in the same pattern just on opposing sides of the wreath.

I really like the look of the clean white on white on white. It just reminds me of the beautiful snow (not that we are getting any of it here).

I am glad I dug out my old winter wonderland wreath and gave it some new flair.

  1. There are SO many reasons I love this. First of all – cardboard instead of a wreath frame – that saves a TON of $$$!! Second – who doesn’t love feathers? The list goes on and on. Needless to say, I’ll be chopping up cardboard asap!
