To get started you will need:

  • vintage bud vases
  • spray paint (I used a gold and heirloom white)
  • fine sand paper
  • Distressing Ink pads

Start by spray painting each vase. I had three different vases. I painted two gold and one white.

The gold was perfect for the green and white vases I found at a local thrift store.

The white really contrasted with the brown vase and I knew it would balance the gold well.

Lightly spray paint each vase and make sure it is completely covered all over. Spray a little in the top too.

Do the same with the last vase. Let the vases dry completely. They shouldn’t feel sticky to the touch.

Lightly sand off the vases around the different designs. Do as little or as much as desired.

Wipe off the sanding dust. Wipe the distress ink pad over the vase lightly.

Start with a little and do a little more if it needs to be more distressed. Let ink dry.

All done. Nice easy and such a luxurious look with the gold. I used a green and brown distressing pad on the vases.

I love the variety in each vase, the colors and texture. It is a beautiful mix and was so easy and inexpensive.

This project was under $10 to create. It is perfect for fall.
