Witch Shoes Halloween Centerpiece plus Printable

Halloween is right around the corner! Eek! I can’t believe it! I just want to pause time a little bit. Since I’m lacking super powers I decided I better craft (kind of like a super power) and I whipped up this quick and easy Witch Shoes Halloween Centerpiece.

Easy Witch Shoes Halloween Centerpiece and printable at thebensonstreet.comTo make this simple craft you will need:

  • Old pair of boots
  • spray paint
  • buckles
  • ribbon
  • tulle
  • old cake plate or platter
  • glitter
  • roughly a fourth a yard of fabric
  • stuffing

Start by spray painting the boots any halloween color. I stuffed some newspaper in the shoes to keep the paint out of the insides of the shoes and to fill them out. I picked purple to paint the boots and I loved how it turned out.

Paint the boots a couple of times, drying in between coats.

Spray paint with one last coat and sprinkle glitter all over the boots. I guess you don’t need the glitter, but I love it.

Paint the buckles a different color from the boots. I picked a fun green.

Let the buckles dry and flip them over and paint the other sides.

After everything is dried, put the buckle on the ribbon and use hot glue to secure the ribbon around the shoe.

I secured mine in the back so you couldn’t see it.

Bunch up the tulle and stick it in the back of the shoe.

Paint the cake plate as well. I did mine green like the buckles.

On the last coat of paint, add the glitter to the top of the plate again.

While the plate is drying, sew the witch legs. Cut two pieces of fabric about 5 inches wide. Folded in half to the length you would like them to go up out of the shoes (could be short or long, depending on where you are putting them).

Fold the fabric together with the right sides together and pin.

Sew down the sides and leave the bottom open to turn and add stuffing.

Stuff the leg with stuffing. Use a lot of the stuffing so that it will stand up. Pack it in very nice and tight.

Fold in the end and pin it.

Then sew the end closed.

Repeat with the other leg. Stick the legs in the shoes and put it on the plate and add a fun printable. It’s all done!

I love how it turned out. It is making my house look fun and spooky.

I love the colors and the whole halloween centerpiece works together.

Plus, I’ve always loved this quote and it is perfect with the witch shoes.
