  • white spray paint
  • yellow & orange acrylic paint
  • sand paper

Start by spray painting the crate white. I am getting a little sad that it is getting colder because I can’t just spray paint all the time.

After the white paint is dry, leave the top plank white on each side.

Paint the middle plank orange. I had to do about three coats to get an even cover.

Paint the bottom plank yellow. Again it took a few coats to cover completely.

After the orange and yellow paint is dry, sand off the edges to distress the crate.

Such a fun easy festive fall craft. I use mine to hold little candy corn treat bags to give to hand out when special little people come over.

I love that this crate incorporates the fun colors of candy corn, but doesn’t have such an exact replication of candy corn.

I am in love with crates and I’ve been enjoying my inspiration for this craft project.
