DIY Souvenir Washer Necklaces

Vacation always requires a good souvenir right? Better yet, they deserve a DIY project, like these adorable DIY souvenir washer necklaces. They are personalized, inexpensive to make and help preserve all those great vacation memories.

DIY Souvenir Washer Necklaces at www.thebensonstreet.com I just got back from a trip to Pennsylvania and New York! It was so nice to get away and see the sights and family. Don’t get me wrong here, I so bought souvenirs (chocolate counts as a souvenir right???), but wanted something that would help me really remember the fun time I had. DIY Washer Necklaces were perfect.

These two washer necklaces showcase New York with and I (heart) New York and a double New York design. I love the white against these fresh bright colors. It really makes the white stand out.

To get this look, I bought 1 1/2 inch washers. Spray paint both sides of the washer in whatever color your like.

My designs were created through rub-ons. They could easily be made with vinyl or printed on a paper and mod podged to the washer. Just trace the washer with a xacto knife and use mod podge to affix it to the washer.

Use string, cord, leather cord, etc. to make the necklace part. I love that it is using a jute cord, because sometimes I have sensitivities to necklaces made from cheap metal. Slip knot the string through, tie the end with a knot and trip edges above the knot so they are even.

Super easy DIY souvenir project to help cherish the vacation memories. Where are you going on vacation this summer? Any fun plans? If you do can I go?!?!

  2. These are so very cute! I have made some with mod podged paper before but I love the idea of a rub-on design over spray paint. Turquoise and yellow are also some of my favorite bright colors right now- so eye catching. And what a great way to make your own vacation keepsakes!

Stopping by from the CSI spray paint challenge. So happy to find you!
