Valentine Vignette at The Benson Street

Isn’t it so much fun to take something traditional and shake it up a little bit? Like throw in some turquoise with red for Valentine’s Day.  I want to share with you my Valentine Vignette.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetTo start off this look I created this lovely felt heart table runner. Want to make your own? Check it out here.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetThis cute little bird cage came from the dollar aisle at Michael’s. I filled it with easter basket grass and pinned a crocheted heart to the top.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetMy mom bought these fun sticks from a floral shop that was going out of business. I created these pleated flowers and stuck them on top of the sticks to make a whimsical floral arrangement in a vintage milk glass vase.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetThe “XOXO” frame was sort of a thrift store find. I loved this frame and got it for a dollar or 50 cents. It had some scrapbook paper and a quote on it before, I just ripped that paper off and glued down some red card stock and created this printable. You can download it here: XOXO. If you download the printable please “Like” The Benson Street on Facebook and/or subscribe via email on the left sidebar.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetHave I told you that I love Ikea? Oh man anything that I can get for $5 or less I want two, three, maybe even four. That is how I cam to have this lovely white frame. I cut out two hearts out of card stock and covered them in washi tape.

Valentine Vignette at The Benson StreetTake fun everyday pieces and dress them up a little bit in your decor. Like this pitcher. Tie some really cute trim to the handle.

  1. Emily, I can’t see the pictures…there to big and it’s distorting everything. I’ll come back later because I want to see what your entry table looks like!

    1. I am glad it finally worked for you. My mom got a bunch of scrapbook stuff from a friend of hers who does a lot of scrapbooking and she gave her a big huge roll of it.
